Gin Infusing with Ori-gin Botanicals!

Hello, my Loves x

If you follow me across my social media platforms, you will be aware that my favourite tipple is a good old-fashioned G&T! But over the last year or so, Gin has become the most fashionable trendy drink on the market,  with many infused gins filling up the supermarket shelves. But you will soon be able to infuse your own gin at home, as you sip on your drink, all thanks to Dan and James from Ori-gin Botanicals.

Their new innovative creation was developed through months of arduous blending, tasting, drinking, blending and more tasting. To which the final product is a range of 5 botanical infusion bags that have been designed to compliment your choice of gin and tonic.

Their infusion bags are designed to subtly enhance the depth of flavour and complexity of your Gin and Tonic without overpowering it beyond recognition. With Dan and James aiming to bridge the gap between standard garnishing of G&T’s and full on gin cocktails. With the organic ingredients being locally sourced and locally produced, in order to minimise their carbon footprint. They also currently produce 20% of the ingredients themselves, and their infusion bags are made in-house in the UK.

To which their long-term aim, is to produce all of their own ingredients using the Great British weather and 21st-century growing technologies.

The Botanical Infusion Bags are available in 5 delicious flavours including;  Raspberry Blush, Spiced Ginger, Grapefruit Zing, Cafe Marmalade and Atomic Peach Tea. To which my particular favourite is the Grapefruit Zing, as I adore Citrus infused Gins. The Grapefruit Zing Infusion Bag ingredients include; Pink Grapefruit, Lemon, Grapefruit sugar, Kaffir Lime, Juniper and Coriander Seed.

To get the best result from your infusion bags, follow the following method: Drown it in your chosen Gin, bury it in ice, add 200ml of your chosen tonic water, jiggle it around like your making a cup of tea and wait for 3 minutes to ensure that it is infused properly. And then leave it floating in your glass throughout drinking.

Whilst sipping on my G&T which was infused with the Grapefruit Zing, the flavours were getting stronger and more delicious with every sip.

Whether it may be a party or a girl’s night in, I suggest you serve up your G&T’s and allow each person to find their favourite flavour, and enjoy the feeling of infusing your own gin!But please make sure to stay safe whilst drinking, and enjoy responsibly.

RRP: £5.99 for 5 bags, and £11.99 for 10 bags

You can purchase the infusion bags through the Origin Botanicals Site To which for only this weekend, 25 bags of both the 5’s and 10’s are available with 15% off. And from the 15th of October, the range will be launching for you all to buy!
