My August Favourites

Hello, my Loves x

As August is my birthday month, when it came to my makeup it was all about being glam and improving the longevity of my base, and when It came to skin care it meant using products that are quick and simple, whilst still taking care of my skin. I’ve whittled down my most used products, to these couple of favourites, which I am sure will also be used as we transition into Autumn. I hope you enjoy!

Zoella Gelat’Eau Body Mist

I am beginning my favourites, with my summer scent! I am a huge fan of Zoe’s new range as a whole, but the sweet scent of elderflower and pomegranate is so uplifting and is the perfect scent for daily wear. I would also suggest picking up the Gelato Body Pudding, to enhance this gorgeous fruity fragrance!

RRP: £8.00

Mario Badescu Facial Spray

This is my favourite setting spray on the market! With the ingredients of Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater it is soft and gentle on your skin. As this also the perfect multi use product. With this spray, you can not only use the spray to set your makeup or to soothe your skin in dehydrating conditions, but you can also use it to dampen eyeshadows and highlight to make them more pigmented when applying.

I have found that using this both as a priming water and a setting spray works best for me, the longevity of makeup is unbelievable and my skin feels moisturised all day without feeling oily.

RRP: £7.00

Rimmel Rita Ora Stay Matte Pressed Powder

I have finally learnt how to set my face with powder, without looking cakey! Which has made such a difference to the longevity of my makeup, and it is all thanks to this powder and the Real Techniques Setting Brush. I use the shade transparent, and use it all around my face to set my base, before applying my other powder products, which I have found no longer breaks up on my skin. This may be the most talked about face powder on the internet, and I now fully understand the hype.

RRP: £3.99

 Rimmel Sculpting Kit

In my opinion, compared to other products available, this is the best face palette available on the high street. I use this on a daily basis, as when combined the bronzer, highlight and blush, create the perfect summer glow They are also highly pigmented and can be built up to whatever your preference is. I also love how they do not break up the rest of your face makeup, which I have found is a common downfall to most product’s similar to this that are available on the high street.

RRP: £6.99

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in Forever

Of course, this would not be a monthly favourite without a liquid lipstick. The Ultra HD Matte Lipcolors, are easy to apply and they a comfort matte formula, making them perfect for daily wear. They are long lasting, and even when eating and drinking there is no transfer, which is something that is key when it comes to the perfect liquid lipstick formula. Forever is the most amazing brown nude shade, which can be paired with any look!

RRP: £8.99

L’Oreal Paris Skin Expert Micellar Water for Normal to Dry Skin

I featured this micellar water in last months products, but I have continued to use and love it. It also me to remove my makeup quickly and efficiently, without clogging my skin up with a product. With one sweep of a cotton pad, heavy eye makeup is removed in seconds, and I highly recommend that you pick up a bottle for yourself.

RRP: £5.99
