A Natural Everyday Look : FOTD

Hello, my Loves!

I’ve recently noticed how much you all love my FOTD’s, and today I wanted to bring you something a little subtle and natural. I am also going to go into depth, about how I apply my products, which I hope you enjoy! I will also mention, that before applying any of the makeup to my face, I used the Boots Botanics Skincare range, which you can read a review of here.

Now let’s get into the makeup!

*

Over the last couple of weeks, I have begun by doing my eyebrows, as I found that it was becoming impossible to apply brow products on top of my foundation. I begin by defining my brows, with the Revlon Colorstay Brow Pencil in Dark Brownwhich allows me to easily and naturally add shape to my thick brows. I then fill in the rest of my brows with the Freedom Duo Eyebrow Powder in Dark Brown, which is my holy grail brow product! To set my brows, I’ve swapped my Benefit Ready, Set, Brow! Gel, for the L’Oreal Brow Artiste Plumper Dark Medium/Dark which adds so much texture to my brows, I love how natural it makes them look.

I then prime my eyes using the Essence I Stage Eyeshadow Basewhich is my favourite eye primer, to which it allows my shadows to blend together seamlessly, whilst still lasting all day. I then take my NAKED ULTIMATE BASICS Eyeshadow Palette, using the double ended brush that is provided with the palette and my Shadow Switch, I use the shade Blow to set my lid and then apply Faith to my crease. Then weirdly for me, I apply a single shadow, which is the MUA Pearl Mono Eyeshadow in Chamoisee. Which for £1, is a beautiful golden shadow, which when I applied with a wet flat brush and packed onto my lip, it look’s so beautiful and pigmented.

I then apply my base, and save the mascara and falsies for later! I apply my favourite illuminating primer, the L’Oreal Paris Lumi Magique Primer in Pure Light, and as this a lightweight primer, it means that the other base products you apply on top, don’t crease or become cakey. I then take my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and apply the dream combination of  Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Foundation in Ivory &  Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair.  In my opinion, the combination of these 3 products gives me my dream base, it looks so luminous and fresh!

I then add some definition back into my face! I use the SEVENTEEN Define & Conquer Contour Kit and Primark Stippling Brush, applying the product to my cheekbones, temples and forehead! I then warm up the same areas with the Rimmel Natural Bronzer. I find that these powders are the perfect shades for me, and they don’t make me look muddy neither orange. I then highlight the high points of my face using the Primark PS Pure Glow Highlighting Palette, and the shade Glimmer, which is the perfect dupe for the Mary Lou Highlighter from The Balm.

Then back to my eyes, where I quite simply apply a coat of the L’Oreal Paris Miss Baby Roll Mascara in Black, and then for lashes, I use the  Eylure Enchanted Lashes in Lily and the Eylure Lashfix Adhesive. Eylure Lashes has to be my all-time favourite lash brand, I love how they have so many different styles and how they are so easy to apply!

Last but not least, onto my lips, and of course all the products are in nude shades. I begin by applying the Rodial XXL Lip Liner in Nude, all over my lips, leaving me with a creamy base. I then apply my latest nude lipstick, which is the Makeup Revolution Iconic Matte Lipstick in Chauffeur, as the formulation of these lipsticks is so pigmented, whilst having a creamy matte finish. I then, of course, finish the look with the NYX Professional Makeup Butter Gloss in Tiramisu!
