Battle of The Bases

Hello, my Loves!
I am officially a primer wearer every day, and I am on the search to find the perfect one, to which I will probably an ever growing collection of primers soon. I have begun by testing out two of the most rated illuminating primers on the market, and today I wanted to share my opinions with you all, I hope you enjoy!

As soon as I apply the primer to my skin using the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, it immediately looks radiant and flawless, as well as being light and allowing me to easily blend products on top of the base. The Lumi Magique has a pure pearlescent sheen, which doesn’t affect the shade of the rest of your base products, and the more the product is buffed into the skin, the more iridescent it becomes.
I find that my makeup lasts a lot longer, even without using a setting powder, even the oiliest areas of my face, including my nose and t-zone, I will most certainly be repurchasing!
RRP: £9.99

SEVENTEEN Skin Wow Primer

Once again, just like the Lumi Magique, I applied Skin Wow by using the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, but unlike the L’Oreal Base, this felt tacky on my skin and only sank into areas including my forehead, and cheeks, which aren’t really the places that need to be primed, and my base products didn’t blend as well.

Skin Wow has more a pink pearlescent sheen, which similarly to the L’Oreal’, it doesn’t affect the shade of the rest of your base products, and the more the product is buffed into the skin, the more iridescent it becomes.
Although I am disappointed with this product as a primer, I will be testing this out in the other ways that are suggested by Seventeen, which include adding a few pumps to your selected foundation, or as a cheekbone highlight!
RRP: £5.99

Thank-you for reading

 lots of love

Hannah
