Spring Lip Picks: Pinks

Hello, my Lovelies!

Seeing as Spring is just a matter of weeks away, I want to share my Spring Lip Picks with you all, helping you make subtle changes to your make-up bag, transitioning your look from Winter to Spring! So let’s begin with the pinks, and if pinks aren’t for you, I will be sharing my favourite nude shades soon!

I Heart Makeup Lip Lava – Tremor

This is the first of the Liquid Lipsticks out of the 5 pink that I have selected and is also one of my everyday favourites. If you are a reoccurring reader of my blog, you will know I recently spoke about the Lip Lave in the shade Forgiven and was pleasantly surprised to find out that the Lip Lavas are so moisturising and set onto your lips and don’t budge when I eat or drink which always a bonus.

I would describe Tremor, as the perfect dark dusky pink for lips, to which it could be paired with any eye look, as it also makes my green eyes pop!

RRP: £2.99

Makeup Revolution Velvet Lacquer in What I Believe

To me, this is one of the best shades for spring from the range of Salvation Lip Lacquers,  to which even though it may still be bright it’s more suitable for everyday wear and once it is on the lips there are no problems with transferring or smudging.  The lacquer is highly pigmented which on the first application can look a little scary but once they settle on the lips you are left with a beautiful coral tone. Although I would suggest wearing a balm underneath this for longevity and to keep your lips hydrated.

RRP: £3.00

NYX Liquid Suede in Tea and Cookies

The shade, Tea and Cookies, is the perfect blush-toned nude so it is most certainly an everyday lip colour. It is so easy to incorporate to any makeup look, being able to wear it day or night.

Usually, liquid lipsticks can be quite drying and begin to crack on the lips, but the liquid suedes are so moisturising and long lasting. I love how you don’t even have to use a lipliner to keep it from bleeding throughout the day, which make’s it very easy to touch up whilst on the go.

RRP: £6.50

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Elusive Insaisissable

Once again this is another dusty pink shade, but a little lighter and subtle. Although these are my favourite lip products, I have so many shades from the range, as they are so wearable and easy to apply! With the minty scent and glossy matte feel on the lips, everything about it is just beautiful.

RRP: £7.99

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Coquette

Coquette is a stunning medium pink that I am pretty sure would suit most skin tones as it is neither to blue or too red. It can either be worn for sheer for the daytime or built up for a more dramatic effect in the evening.

In my own personal opinion, the lacquers have more wearability, making them more versatile, as they take you from day to night. This is something that is missing from the formula of the Matte Balms as they have more of an opaque colour. And whilst the Lacquers are said to contain large particles of shimmer, and they are certainly not obvious in the slightest.
